The 3 stars is becs amazon requires stars; ignore them. The old 900mg labeled product was white. The new 3600 product is dark pills. There are 2 kinds of reishi spores: white & dark. When I took the white, I got instant results – not getting up at night at all to urinate. The dark are not giving me that result. This is not scientific; my experience proves nothing, & I take a lot of prostate health pills each day. But I ordered another brand now which is white. If anybody knows of a scientific study of difference between white & dark spores, please tell me. Incidentally, I think you get 10X as much (or more) reishi chemicals by eating the whole mushrooms, which I have not yet done. I got into reishi because I had taken Super Beta Prostate for many years & found that they changed their formula now to include reishi mushroom. So since I had on hand a lot of Super Beta Prostate, instead of buying the new version, I just bought Reishi mushroom to roll my own, as it were. I bought 2 brands of Reishi pills, one was dark the other white. Right away I was no longer getting up at night to urinate. But now I am again using this 3600 version of Reishi which was sold here since I ran out of the 900mg version. (incidentally, mg listings can be deceitful since they may say 1000 mg, but per serving instead of per pill; then you find out that they have defined a serving as 4 pills. I wish Amazon would not allow this deceit. It makes it time-consuming to shop.)

The product was shipped and delivered quickly, per the usual great service from Amazon. I haven’t used the product yet, but I’m sure it will do what I purchased it for. Reishi Mushroom also goes by the name of Lingzhi Mushroom, which we have used as a sleep aid for several years. It was one of the 5 primary herbs that was taken by a man, Li Ching-Yuen, who died at the unusually old age of 256. Search for Li Ching-Yuen on the internet for details. I’ve been taking his formula for several years now. I think it works or has value. I started taking all 5 herbs with my morning supplements and felt sleepy, and remembered that he had attested that he slept quite well. I figured one was a sleep aid and should be taken only at night. My wife, an ER doctor, and I both use it. Normally, we take 2 capsules of 320mg for a total of 740mg. These seem a bit stronger. We’ll see how it goes and make adjustments from there. For those who find this makes them depressed and experience energy loss, take only at night, not 3 times a day as some suggest. You will do better. It also appears to be non-habit forming.
