So just received this supplement and have started using it, so can’t speak about how great it is or if it is even effective. Probably months before evaluating that. Compared to other similar products it was better priced. Brown seaweed has been considered a very healthy benefit for many reasons used by the asian community forever and said to be one of the reasons for there very healthy longevity. And now it’s being used by China in a prescribed drug for Alzeimers so you be the judge. If it’s half as good as cited benefits it should be well worth the purchase.

I’ve used a few other brands of this same product but they ALL have the same 500 mg per capsule, only this product is less expensive. I’ll keep ordering this as long as they keep the price lower than the others. I started using it for my dog, who has an autoimmune disease and it REALLY helps her, especially with the inflammation in her feet. Between this and the colloidal silver, she’s doing much better!! I take it myself for my knees & other joint swelling.

As soon as I started taking these brown seaweed capsules i started feeling an overall warming. It has kicked my metabolism up a little. My appetite has diminished. I bought the product after doing a Google search for oligomannate, a substance made from brown algea seaweed, recently found to improve cognition in Alzheimer patients, and hence, approved in China by their version of the FDA. (Studies are being done in the US and other countries this year). It should be available for purchase, though, in several months. The Google search lead me to the supplement that I bought. I tried to find a “contact us” or chat window to ask the co. if it contained oligomannate, but their lame website didn’t have any such thing unless you went through FaceBook. So I’m sending it back and will buy the specific, desired product when it’s available.

They refuse to verify claims. The only independent test I could find of any of their products came up with a concentration that was 10% of what was advertised.On their website they claim to use “quality testing” but when I asked them for the results they responded with:“Please note that our Certificates for all our formulations are sent directly to our main distributors like Amazon, Walmart…We could unfortunately not disclose directly this document to our clients, as we expose ourselves to competitors stealing precious information listed on the manufacturing documentation, such as our production processes and formulations.”Here the thing:1. The results of a concentration test would give away nothing.2. Anyone, literally anyone, can just send their product to any independent testing facility to check that it meets advertised standards. Their competitors, if they want to know, have already done this. It’s not illegal and it’s not hard.3. The study I cited above already said they contacted Amazon about this and got no response.This is so frustrating. The fda doesn’t regulate supplements. And there’s really nothing in the US forcing supplement companies to provide what they claim. Some of them have no trace of what they advertise at all. So it’s just up to us, the consumer, to figure out who is legit. And telling us we have to trust that they middle man they use is looking our for us clearly isn’t good enough.A note on this specific supplement: After some independent research of scientific articles I found that while Fucoxanthin in its purest form in the laboratory is effective at the advertised claims, even if we did get a trustable concentration in a capsule it’s so unstable and prone to damage from heat etc that by the time it got to us it could likely have diminished to little effect.Save money and definitely avoid this brand forever and possibly this particular supplement for now.I’m not paid by anyone to write this. Just someone who worries too much about their mother and also would have loved something for weight management for myself.
